Both the people of Madrid and those who have ever visited our city know that Madrid's night has always shone with its own light. From the City Council, this autumn we want to amplify that light and turn it into pure enjoyment and art, multiply by a thousand the brightness of our late hours and fill our streets with a dazzling experience to which everyone is invited.
As autumn advances, the days get shorter but the nights get longer, the streets become ours again and Madrid offers us the most beautiful way to celebrate it: welcome to LuzMadrid, a unique and exceptional opportunity to meet again with the Madrid nightlife, to rediscover with a different look its streets and squares, its monuments, its emblematic places or its most unusual corners. With enthusiasm, joy, excitement and more brightness than we could have ever imagined, we are going to recover in style that magical night-time Madrid that we enjoy so much.
LuzMadrid will be the first edition of the International Festival of Light in our capital, part of the prestigious network of Light Festivals held in various cities of the European Union: Lyon, Frankfurt, Brussels, Lisbon, Tallinn, Eindhoven, Turin... In this way, Madrid joins a cultural tradition that began in the mid-90s where light is the protagonist and the nights are transformed into resplendent celebrations of art and creativity.
