October Moon | Festival of Light

Within the framework of the Prado-Retiro's candidacy for UNESCO World Heritage status, the City Council commissioned us to set up a major artistic event that would intervene the sites and monuments of these areas of Madrid and establish a contemporary dialogue with the institutions and spaces.

To this end, we designed a programme with visual and plastic artists who work with light as an inspiring element. More than 15 pieces and installations by international and national artists inhabited and transformed the perception of the Paseo del Prado, El Retiro, Puerta de Alcalá, Las Fuentes de Cibeles, Neptuno, Apolo and surrounding areas into a large open-air museum. A first Festival of Light in Madrid.
