Ciudadano Kien carries out the artistic direction and general coordination of the cultural programme of the IV Centenary of the Plaza Mayor of Madrid.
A wide-ranging programme whose aim is to reposition the Plaza Mayor as the cultural epicentre of the city and pay tribute to its 400th anniversary. To this end, we have created a varied programme with a multitude of languages and artistic disciplines. We designed and produced unique shows for the commemoration and co-produced and invited major production centres and festivals to join us in the celebration. A programme that has seen more than 40 shows and actions and almost 800,000 people. A programme that has had unforgettable moments that have remained in the collective memory.
