Inauguration of Madrid Río 2011

2011

For the inauguration of Madrid Rio, the then recently recovered area of the Manzanares, and within the framework of the San Isidro 2011 festivities, a fire show was conceived with more than 8,000 points of illumination creating a hypnotic atmosphere and modifying the surroundings.

An indescribable installation on the banks of the river and on its flow, on whose surface floating metallic structures in different shapes housed an infinite number of flames, projecting their reflection on the water and creating an intense and magical atmosphere that welcomed thousands of visitors during the days of the exhibition.

The proposal was conceived between Citizen Kien and the French company Carabosse.

‘Hundreds of people spent the first night of festivities surrounded by the warmth of candlelight with a fairytale spectacle.’
