Ecoembes

For the fourth consecutive year, the Orchestra of Recycled Instruments of Cateura took to the stage of the Teatro Real to offer an exciting concert that, under the concept of recycling, combines music and solidarity.

The concert also featured several Spanish artists and the Orquesta de La Música del Reciclaje, the musical formation inspired by the Cateura Orchestra created by Ecoembes.

The Orquesta de Instrumentos Reciclados de Cateura is made up of children and young people from the Paraguayan city of Asunción, a shantytown built on a rubbish dump. Thanks to their ingenuity and, above all, their enthusiasm, they have created a unique musical ensemble with instruments made from waste materials such as drums, cutlery, cereal boxes, cans, milk cartons and oven trays. With this concert, Ecoembes wants to show that recycling, as well as caring for the environment, can generate second chances.
